Terms of Service

The rules for using our websites and applications — including our CRM and its optional Microsoft and Google email connections.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to everyone who visits an LA CCTV Supply website or uses one of our applications, including the Get-A-Quote customer relationship management application (the “CRM”). Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information.

Agreement to These Terms

By accessing or using an LA CCTV Supply website or application, you agree to these Terms. If you use the CRM on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms for that company, and “you” includes that company. If you do not agree, please do not use our websites or applications.

Who We Are

LA CCTV Supply is a California business owned and operated by Thomas A. Redmann as a sole proprietor. In these Terms, “LA CCTV Supply”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that business. Our contact details are at the end of this page.

Our Websites and Applications

Our websites provide information about our security consulting, system design, equipment procurement and training services, together with free educational material and downloads. That material is general information: it is not professional advice for any specific site, and the requirements for any facility are set by the authorities responsible for it.

Prices, quotes and proposals become binding only when we confirm them in writing. Equipment sales and services are also governed by the quote, proposal or agreement for that order.

The CRM is a business application for quoting, purchase orders, change orders, projects, contacts and related communication. It is provided to our team and to companies we have set up on it.

CRM Accounts

  • CRM accounts are created by your company’s CRM administrator or by us. Each company’s records are kept separate from every other company’s.
  • Keep your sign-in details private and do not share your account. Tell your administrator or us right away if you think someone else has used it.
  • Your company’s administrator decides who has access, what each user can do, and which email accounts may be connected. Your company is responsible for the actions of its users.
  • We may suspend an account that is being misused or that puts other users, their data or our systems at risk.

Connected Microsoft and Google Accounts

Connecting an email account to the CRM is optional. Users who do not connect one can keep using the CRM without it.

  • When you connect a Microsoft account (Outlook.com or Microsoft 365) — or, once it is available, a Google account (Gmail or Google Workspace) — you sign in with that provider and approve the permissions it shows you. You authorize the CRM to act on your behalf within those permissions, such as sending an email you write in the CRM from your own mailbox.
  • You are responsible for the messages you send through the CRM. Follow your employer’s policies and applicable law, including anti-spam law such as the CAN-SPAM Act. Do not use the connection to send bulk unsolicited email.
  • Your company’s administrator may limit which mailboxes can be connected. The CRM refuses a mailbox that is not allowed for your company.
  • You can disconnect at any time under My Profile → Email connection, and you can also remove the CRM’s access from your Microsoft or Google account settings. How we handle data from connected accounts is described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Your use of Microsoft and Google accounts remains subject to their own terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use our websites or applications for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
  • send spam, phishing or malware, or impersonate anyone;
  • try to access accounts, records or systems you are not authorized to use, or test, probe or bypass our security;
  • copy, scrape or harvest data from our websites or the CRM by automated means, or interfere with their operation;
  • upload content you do not have the right to share.

Your Data

The business records your company keeps in the CRM belong to your company. We store and process them only to provide the CRM and related support, to keep it secure, and as required by law. We do not sell them. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we protect it, and the rights you have over your personal information.

Third-Party Services

Our websites and applications rely on third-party services such as our hosting provider and, if you connect them, Microsoft and Google. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their availability, changes or actions.

Our Content

The text, graphics, logos, documents, software and other content on our websites and in our applications belong to LA CCTV Supply or its licensors. You may view and download the free material we publish for your own internal use; please do not resell it or republish it as your own. Manufacturer names and logos belong to their owners.

Availability, Changes and Suspension

We work to keep our websites and applications available and accurate, but they may sometimes be unavailable, changed, or contain errors. We may add, change or remove features at any time. Where we reasonably can, we will tell CRM users in advance about a change that significantly affects them.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our websites and applications are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Warranties for equipment and services we sell are those stated in the quote, proposal or agreement for that order, or provided by the manufacturer.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LA CCTV Supply is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, our websites or applications. Our total liability for any claim relating to them is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the use of the application in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify LA CCTV Supply against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of our websites or applications, the content you send or upload through them, or your breach of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you and we consent to those courts’ jurisdiction.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date. Your continued use of our websites or applications after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
