How we use and protect information gathered from visitors to our websites and applications — and what you can ask us to do with it.

At LA CCTV Supply, we are deeply committed to protecting your online privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we use and protect information gathered from visitors to our site, and applies to our web sites, mobile, PC desktop, and embedded applications. By accessing or using an LA CCTV Supply website, online service, or application, you agree to the collection, use, and transfer of your personal data as described in this policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not access or use LA CCTV Supply’s web sites or applications.

LA CCTV Supply reserves the right to change this online privacy policy from time to time at its sole discretion. Your use of our services will be subject to the most current version of the online privacy policy, published at the time of such use.

LA CCTV Supply’s principal business address is PO Box 4327 La Puente, California 91747.

What We Collect and Why

Personally identifiable information (“Personal Data”) is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a single person. Personal Data that you choose to submit to us or which is collected by us is used solely for the purpose of improving our relationship with you and providing you with better service.

Applications

When you use our mobile, PC desktop, or embedded applications, we collect information about how you interact with the application. This data helps us improve, develop, and enhance the application’s functionality and user experience.

Websites and How We Collect Information

On our website, we collect personally-identifying information primarily when visitors choose to interact with us in ways that require it, usually via forms. The amount and type of information gathered depend on the nature of the interaction. For instance:

  • If you comment on our blog, we ask for a username and email address.
  • Our reseller application form requires information such as email, phone number, first, last, and business name.
  • If you wish to receive updates and communications via email, we collect your email address.

We use WPForms for our website forms. You can find their privacy policy on their respective website. In each case, LA CCTV Supply collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of your interaction with us.

You can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent you from engaging in certain website-related activities or obtaining member-only electronic offers and communications.

However, if you are truly concerned about online privacy, you can always call us instead or request that we mail you paper forms using the USPS. We highly suggest using a VPN for enhanced online privacy.

Please note: We do not collect credit card numbers directly on our systems. Any transaction processing is handled by secure third-party clearing houses, and your credit card information is retained only during that transaction and validation process by the clearing house, never saved by LA CCTV Supply.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

A “cookie” is a small text file that enables websites to store certain user information on your computer. On this website, we use temporary session cookies for applications such as online registration forms. These session cookies are used solely to facilitate the interaction between you and the fields in the form. They are not used to collect or store personal information about you, and do not track you if you return to our website. The cookie is temporary and will be deleted automatically when you exit your browser.

By visiting an LA CCTV Supply website, you allow the site to store these session cookies on your computer.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Most browsers enable you to delete cookies stored on your computer hard drive, block the acceptance of cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. To learn more about these functions, please refer to your browser’s instructions. However, if you block the acceptance of cookies, please be aware that some website functionalities may not work properly, and our ability to personalize your online experience will be limited. You will need to decide whether enabling cookies outweighs the privacy concerns.

We do not use Google Analytics. However, for your awareness regarding third-party tracking, we highly suggest visiting the Google Analytics Opt-Out browser add-on page.

Our Commitment to Your Privacy

We want you to feel comfortable knowing that we care deeply about your privacy. As such, we have provided this Privacy Policy to explain how we use and protect information gathered from visitors to our site.

We strive in each instance to tell people who provide personal information to us about the specific purpose for which that information is collected. At the time of collection, we also strive to inform people who are asked to provide personal information about the general uses of that information.

WE DO NOT SELL, RENT, OR KNOWINGLY PROVIDE YOUR INFORMATION IN ANY WAY TO ANY THIRD PARTY without your specific consent. We absolutely hate when companies do that and will NOT do that to you.

We only use or disclose personal information for the specified purposes, or purposes consistent with those purposes, unless we get your explicit consent, or unless required by law or regulation. For example, if we request your DUNS number for a business reference check, we will only supply that DUNS number to Dun and Bradstreet for that specific purpose.

Information Security

We use information security safeguards and take reasonable precautions to protect the personal information collected or maintained by us against loss, unauthorized access, and illegal use or disclosure.

Our staff is trained on procedures for the management of personal information, including limitations on the release of information. Access to personal information is limited to those whose work requires such access. Confidential information is destroyed according to California’s records retention laws. We conduct periodic reviews to ensure that proper information management policies and procedures are understood and followed.

LA CCTV Supply encourages all individuals to use appropriate safeguards to secure their computers and the information on those computers (like password protecting your computer, restricting physical access to your computer, installing Antivirus software and keeping it up-to-date, and using a VPN while surfing the internet).

Your Rights Under GDPR and CCPA (California Privacy Rights Act)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have certain data protection rights. We aim to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data.

  • Right to Access: You have the right to request copies of your Personal Data.
  • Right to Rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or complete information you believe is incomplete.
  • Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You have the right to request that we erase your Personal Data, under certain conditions.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your Personal Data, under certain conditions.
  • Right to Object to Processing: You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data, under certain conditions.
  • Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale (CCPA): As stated, we do not sell your personal information. However, under the CCPA, California residents have the right to opt-out of the sale of their personal information.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination (CCPA): We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

To protect your Personal Data, we use a personal security login system to verify your identity before allowing you access to your Personal Data. Furthermore, we employ physical and electronic protection mechanisms to secure access and to protect your Personal Data from unauthorized access.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below.

Our CRM Application and Connected Accounts

Our customer relationship management application (the “CRM”) is used by our team and by companies we have set up on it. CRM accounts are created by each company’s CRM administrator. This section explains what the CRM does with the information kept in it and, if you choose to connect one, with your Microsoft or Google account. It adds to the rest of this policy.

Information in the CRM

The CRM stores the business records its users enter, such as leads, opportunities, projects, quotes, purchase orders, change orders, contacts and activity notes, together with a log of each email sent from the CRM (sender, recipients, subject, message, attachments, date and delivery status). Each company’s records are kept separate and are available only to that company’s authorized users and to us for support and security.

Connecting a Microsoft Account (Optional)

A CRM user may connect a Microsoft account (Outlook.com or Microsoft 365) under My Profile → Email connection. Microsoft shows the requested permissions before anything is connected, and the user decides. Users who do not connect an account keep using the CRM without it. When connected, the CRM asks Microsoft for permission to:

  • see the user’s basic profile (name, email address and account identifier), so the CRM knows which mailbox is connected;
  • send email as the user, and create and save the messages the user sends from the CRM;
  • read and update the user’s Outlook contacts, calendar and To Do tasks, so contacts and items scheduled in the CRM can be shared between the CRM and Outlook;
  • stay connected without the user signing in again each time.

The CRM accesses only the specific messages, contacts, calendar items or tasks needed for a feature the user uses, and keeps in the CRM only what that feature records — for example, the log of an email the user sent. It does not copy a mailbox into the CRM.

Connecting a Google Account (Coming Soon)

We plan to offer the same optional connection for Google accounts (Gmail and Google Workspace). When it is available, it will ask only for the permissions its features need, such as sending email as the user, and everything in this section will apply to it.

LA CCTV Supply’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How We Protect and Use Data from Connected Accounts

  • We never see or store your Microsoft or Google password. The CRM stores only the access keys (tokens) the provider issues, and they are encrypted.
  • We use data from a connected account only to provide and improve features you can see and use in the CRM.
  • We do not sell this data, and we do not transfer it to anyone except as needed to provide those features with your consent, for security purposes (for example, investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business after obtaining your explicit prior consent.
  • We do not use or transfer this data to serve advertising, including retargeting or personalized or interest-based advertising, and we do not use it to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
  • No person at LA CCTV Supply reads your email, contacts, calendar or tasks unless you first ask us to (for example, to help with a specific message), it is necessary for security purposes (for example, investigating a bug or abuse), or it is necessary to comply with applicable law.
  • We do not use or retain data obtained from Microsoft or Google accounts to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
  • Your company’s administrator may limit which mailboxes can be connected to the CRM.

Disconnecting and Deleting

You can disconnect at any time under My Profile → Email connection. The stored tokens are deleted immediately, and the CRM can no longer reach your account. You can also remove the CRM’s access from your Microsoft account (personal accounts or work or school accounts) or from your Google account. Records the CRM created while you were connected, such as the log of emails you sent, remain part of your company’s CRM records until your company deletes them or asks us to. To request deletion, contact us using the information below.

Sometimes you will find links to third-party sites on our web sites. Please note that this online privacy policy does not apply to these third-party sites. Please review the third-party website’s Privacy Policy directly.
